Re: Jaguar E-type 4.2L

Very nice. How did you eliminate the kit seam between the doors and the bonnet?

It was not easy. I painted the body after assembled interior

Re: Jaguar E-type 4.2L

I was afraid you were going to tell me that's how you eliminated the seams. I was hoping you discovered a trick to get the interior in after the body was glued together. Again very nice work.

Oh! I forgot. Instead of rubber parts , I used a copy of resin.

I don't know if this works for the Gunze kit -- mine's buried in the stash. But with the Revell roadster, you can slide the interior in through the front where the firewall fits after the body is built. I left the seats off until the end. But even if you can't, if you leave the interior as empty as possible, it's not too much of a hassle to fill it with soft foam and mask it so you can paint the exterior with the interior in place.

...I'm just trying to figure out how to do the same with a Heller coupe!

bestest,
M.

There is another way .
My friend built a coupe from Heller. He cut out the floor of the body to put the interior through it.
Here is his WIP - http://forum.autoinscale.com/viewtopic.php?id=6403
I think with the roadster can do so. But in my opinion it will be harder than I did.

Re: Jaguar E-type 4.2L

I cut the floor to on my FHC.
the underside of that car/kit has handy rails that can act both as a guide for cutting and to hide the cuts/seams.

Re: Jaguar E-type 4.2L

Wow, amazing, that's for sure
You did a great job, with cool pictures and a shiny paintfinish.

Are those spokewheels in the kit?
And is it the Revell kit 07291 1/25?
