I know. Cancer scares the hell out of me. I used to work in the cancer ward of a hospital in Sydney and the patients that came in just seemed to get younger and younger every year. Some as young as 22!!! It was and still is, very depressing.

KatWoman:

I wish they knew better the causes. Some doctors feel it's heriditary, others feel it's diet and lifestyle...

If it's heriditary, your blood line sounds like my wifes.. Grandmother, mother, sister, it's just working it's way down the line.

If it's lifestyle, I'm not sure what else she can do. She works out 3-5 times a week, won't eat the nasty foods I like, etc... the doctor did suggest she give up caffeine, which of course is next to impossible.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and you mother.

How did it turn out? I hope all is well. My aunt had surgery to get rid of breast cancer a few years ago and it hasn't reared its ugly head since. I know its a scary thing for everyone involved, but it sounds like shes a strong lady and has this thing licked.
