i bought mine when i was 17 and lucked out with insurance. it only costed me $80 more per year than my last car (a sedan). i'm payin about $1000 a half with a clean record and i'm still well under 25 years old. i guess it all depends on your insurance.

If the car is only $4,000 it's defiantly worth the money. What color is it BTW?

BUT, your only 16 and this car is alot to handle. Its not a car for inexperienced drivers. You will A.) kill yourself, or B.) kill the car and have to come up with a ton more money to fix it.

I'm not going to be the one to tell you not to get it, it is a great deal, but you should also have a beater car unless you know a lot about rotarys and will be able to fix it right away when it blows.

im trying to hold the car about 4 years before i get a new one, and it'd be a daily driver to work and school etc. and im not going to be a reckless driver with a ledgend, but if i had like a civic i'd wouldnt care but its a rx-7 tt. if the engine dose blow up then im probly screwed, whats a reasonable price for a rx-7 tt with 70 plus miles? do you know?

A reasonable price for that car that is in pretty good condition is between 11-12K. So it is a very cheap price for it. But the engine will go soon, its not a matter of "if", its a matter of "when".

do not buy this car for two main reasons. first, you should not drive an fd3s as your first car. you would be lucky not to crash it, and just driving carefully is hard to do when you actually feel the performance of this car. i go wide open throttle at least once a day. you need to get used to driving an easier car first. it would just be the best thing to do. second reason is that if you are not able or willing to drop an extra $5-10,000 on this car at any given time (while you're still not familiar with the car), then you should not take the chance.

this is no honda. if you've never owned a rotary car before, then you're starting almost from scratch when it comes to knowing the car. this car has many specific needs that you would not get with a honda. it just takes time to learn, that's the way it is.
