Re: Tamiya La Ferrari 1/24

That stinks Bob!
I guess I got a little lucky.
The pieces look good and as we see here they go together well too!

I hate you, Andy.

I will get my &*%#$@ "express" shipment tomorrow, paying $34 for an 11 day shipment. I have to go to the PO to pick it up. It was so &*&%*@# nice of HLJ to offer me EMS rather than the SAL that I wanted because of travel schedule.

I'd have had this kit by last Monday if I got it via FedEx. I'm only FedUp at this point

That СF decal looks good enough, because it imitates more large weaving.

Re: Tamiya La Ferrari 1/24

I hear ya, and see your point, as I said, just my opinion.
I think you are right, it might be good enough.
It is hard to find that pattern on other decals and then get the right size after that.

Re: Tamiya La Ferrari 1/24

What is nice about Tamiya's decals is that they don't require such careful trimming exactly up to the edge, each piece is separate on the sheet. I need to study that photo to see what I need to cover with gloss clear vs. matte clear, looks like the large weave stuff isn't finished to a gloss.

Re: Tamiya La Ferrari 1/24

Wow, the new pictures look a lot better!!!!!!

You're right Bob.
I would not do this build without the Tamiya CF decals. There are a ton they provide for you and you would be making templates for a month without their sheet.
The detail in the CF is not as good as a Studio 27 or KA or some of the others, but to not make the templates, I will gladly trade that.

Thanks for the insight and great pics right out of the gate on this one baracca!
Andy

Mine came in friday Bob but the mail lady didn't offer to leave it or contact me. I was home all day. The wife went back out to post office twice but she still hadn't returned from her route. So the wife told them to tell her to knock on the door this time !!

What do the post office and the shoe store have in common?

Too many loafers
