Yes, you have to sand them, but you don't have to sand off the orange peel texture unless you really want to... Sanding is mainly so that the primer will adhere to the surface, so I did it on all the pieces, regardless of wether they are textured or not... Orange peel still shows through nicely on mine...

I screwed mine panels up really bad using sandpaper that was apparently too coarse -- and the paint kept scratching off. What you would recommend using, including paint?

Ahh, I could never do that to the interior of my car, or any car for that matter. If I did it would have to be with two colors that arent too dramatic in the color range. Like have a white and a light grey or something. But even then. But to those who did it, to each his own, and props on the hard work and doing it right.

If your going to sand use at leased a 500 grit paper.
I highly suggest using Krylon Fusion no sanding, no primeing, or no clear coat. Seriously this stuff is the shit!!!! It Bonds to the plastic after 7 days, wont even peal off if you cut it up with an exacto knife.

I'm in the stanges right now of redoing all the peices with this paint.

Damn! That's some serious paint. Thanks! Is it sold in retail stores, or specialty shops?
