Re: Xanavi NISMO Z. First kit in years.
Vric - please tell me you are using a proper industrial respirator mask when you spray the 2K clear - it is deadly - in addition you want to open up all the doors and widows if you do not have a paint booth that extracts the air and vents it to the outside world. 2K clear use cyanoacrylate for the "hardener" part of the mix and basically that is "super glue" "zap" "CA" whatever they call it where you live the last place you want that is in your lungs. If you do not have a proper respirator - please get one - as much as I love modeling and seeing all the great models built on the forum it is not worth dying for. - your clear looks like every time I use 2K clear - fantastic - it's like a layer of water sitting on top - John

Re: Xanavi NISMO Z. First kit in years.
Hi
I use the 1k one, not 2k. I like the simplicity of a ready-to-spray clear. But yes, I do have a spray booth. I don't use respirator, but it's not too bad since most of the air are exhaust out of the room very fast and most of the paint I use aren't very toxic. I do have some cheap mask to not breath paint fume, but even there, the spray booth is doing his job.

Re: Xanavi NISMO Z. First kit in years.
Hey This is too all the modelers on the forum - please get a professional mask - they can be obtained thru the internet if you do not have a place locally to get one. I work in a hospital = you do not want to find out when you are 60+ that you cannot breath and you need your lungs transplanted - the chemicals in the non water based paints clears can be life threatening and even water based paints use alcohols and other organic solvents that are dangerous - maybe not now or the next 10 years - COPD takes years to occur but once you have it there is NO going back - please I cannot stress enough regardless of what type you spray - They are all irritants to the respiratory system - please wear adequate respiratory protection and be sure you have adequate ventilation where you paint - if you can smell it - that's NOT a good sign - John
