Re: Porsche 935/76 K1

little progress on the porsche.
I rebuild with milliput the lower part of the rear bumper, under the exhaust.the 3 air vents near are open now, and I also found some good tubes for the terminal.
Even with milliput i reshaped the lower edge of the side radiators, and took the correct measures for the PE grill to place inside.
The last improve was to reduce a little the front air intake.Body is ready for the first coat of white...I suppose

also added the 4 separators into front wheelarch

think the only missing work before painting is only to detail and close the internal part of the naca duct (at least the one without net over)

Re: Porsche 935/76 K1

Great job you're doing. The rearside looks spot on. You've mentioned to downside the decals from the 1/12 kit. Isn't it better to use the 1/20 scale Tamiya kit?? Anyway keep it up because I'm watching and learning.

and also time to introduce what is now my best friend....much more than any Paris Hilton's BFF.This drug is a necessity in those hard suffering days. And dont forget here now I have 41c degrees of hot and (pefectly as from Murphy laws) aircon stopped to work..
From the seaside with catamaran pointed to water to city stucked in bed is hard. very hard, believe me.

Re: Porsche 935/76 K1

The model was before primered with tamiya white primer and then with gunze off white (used as base, being very light grey) and in a second time with pure white.
I let it dry for a long time.in the past I had some problems with multy layers of gunze colors (as if the last coat wakes up whats under..) so wanted to keep all clean and dry. With actual temperature everything is surely dry.I had no needing to clearcote white at this point, cause the apply of decals is the challenge of this model.
I down scaled the 1:12 tamiya decal sheet redrawing all, but I am not so sure my handworks come precise...as in tamiya big scale model.

yes.. my decals fits nearly perfectly on the body.I was not so far away from the exact holes in the decals..

...and soon AC 45 live from San francisco...ice on ankle, ice on glass, open windows..and bella la vita...LOL

Re: Porsche 935/76 K1

eheh, thank u Joka.
I was so stupid to miss scale design model some yrs ago. Now I regret it.It is a great model, complete and with PE.A must to have.

This porsche in this Le Mans version becomes so much more nicer and aggressive than ordinary 1/24 tamiya box of the first version. Now I placed the front lights, and she took the typical bad eye look of the 2 lights spoiler cars. Also I shined the body and completed all the decalwork. Is pure pleasure to see.

Found also a bodyslot from kyosho in ebay.Dunno really the quality of it.usually Kyosho is good:
