Removing the grey trim from Dash

Hey people this is my first post here. That grey trim in my Civic was also bugging me. Removing the trim is just hell because there are several screws facing away from you. You will need the right kind of phillip skewdriver the get to them. You won't be able to see the screws unless you have a mirror. You will also have to remove other things to get to the screws, like the radio, the enviromental contol, the panel where the speedometer cluster is, the speedometer cluster itself, and the panel below the radio. I've already removed mine and ready to paint. The screws that was the hardest to get out were the ones on the drivers side and the screw below the cluster since there was practically no room at all to manuever the screwdriver, so having small hands is a plus. Hope this helps and good luck.

P.S.
You will get really frustrated but stick to it, as I did.

lemme know if Im right er not though, should you venture into it.
Wrong, there were no clips only screws holding the grey trim in place.

I just changed out my climate control and I pulled everything off like the cluster housing, deck, climate control and there are bolts behind it bolting it to the dash itself. I know that you'll have to remove the plastic piece below the steering to get to all of em.

I knew it was an old thread, but I'm new here. I was just reading through all the threads and saw this one, which had no answer to the problem, so I answered it since I knew the answer. Sorry.

It's all good. It's good you were able to answer the question. Sorry if I sounded like an ass...and welcome to AF

also, hey, sageuvagony, did you finally get it off now? Did you paint it or wrap it yet?
