I had the same problem with my Atezza...the front lip did not fit well.

Just glue it as best you can to start with, then when dry, sand the arch, taking care to follow the arch of the wheel.
You shouldn't have to sand out much. Then putty up the small join line on the inside, prime and paint

Well I decided to burn the midnight oil and get these pics up tonight! I like the different look these wheels give the kit. It’s the first time I’ve bought a wheel set for a model and I was a little worried about dishing out another $9. I think it was well worth it.

BTW- Body still isn’t primed and none of the other parts are either. I also picked up some matt yellow for the seats today. My wife said the yellow body with red seats would have looked like a McDonald’s car! So the interior will be black/yellow.

I know I’m eating bandwidth, so no more pics until I get some real work done! I promise!!

-Rick

Looking for a ride a little higher than this. But not much higher!

The shiny lugs I mentioned earlier.

The stock wheels don't compare IMO.

Neither do the brakes!

Sorry... I've been crackin dumb jokes all night

The wheels look alot more better than on thier websire. In your pics, you can really see the detail of the wheel/brakes. The company knows what they're doin too (kinda). If you notice, the brake disc has a hat, which is the center part that can be seperated from the disc. Brake discs like this cost alot in real life, so when you put them on a model they look REALLY special. They should'ev done slotted rotorrs though, drilled is'nt as good as slotted, it's ok... nothin putty won't fix!

I just remembered, Enkei makes those wheels for 1:1 cars!

Thanks for the positive response!

Ria-No carbon fiber for me. I'd give it a try, but I don't have any. I'd probably make a mess of it anyway!

Primera man- I'm pretty pleased so far. Fujimi didn't make it this kit flawless by any means, but most of the troubles are small ones. By all means put your hat back on! I'm truely not worthy, not yet anyway!

Endlesskev86- Sorry man, the wheels are staying the way they are. But I'm glad you like the rest of the car!

The interior is painted in semi flat black, front seats are matt yellow for now. I searched the web and found a few pics of an 02 Type R and it had dark grey seats, so these may wind up being black/grey. The matt yellow I bought looks awful, almost mustard yellow! :apuke:

Body will be trimmed out this week, had thoughts of opening the grill and the lower valance before painting. As you can see I was too chicken to take the knife to it. Will do the best I can with black paint. Also I may tint or "black" out the rear windows.

Don't plan to do much to the chassis, it's all molded and I'm not much to mask/paint something that will virtualy never be seen. I will try my hand at making a larger exhaust tip for it though.

Thanks for looking, more to come!

-Rick

Did you prime the body before painting it? If yes, what primer and paint did you use?
