Are you kidding me? The non-turbo motors are the crappy ones. I've seen very powerful turbo eclipses. The only bad thing I heard had something to do with the crank loosening or getting worn.

Besides, Supra motors are KNOWN for being strong, reliable, and able to put out SERIOUS power. The problem from thereafter is whether or not they can apply all that power into traction. Most Supras tend to forget about traction. Quote:

I don't know about turbo eclispes out in LA, be for sure, out in San Bernardino and the rest of the Inland Empire, i never race a turbo eclispe that was able to beat my almost stock 97 civic HB so easily, which by the way only has a exhaust and intake. the gst and gsx could keep up with me in traffic, but the non turbo one only see my tail lights.
i don't even respect the 3000GT which is mitsubishi best car, i have to put myself together to give some respect for the lancer since it's almost as good as the WRX. |

se-r wolfpac, the lancer EVo beat the Sti in the june Motor Trend. on page 48 they test the new sti and put it up againt the numbers from the '03 lancer evo they tested aswell. the 03 lancer is cheaper. its 0-60 is is 4.59 as compared to the sti's 0-60 time of 4.87. 1/4th time for the lancer: [email protected], the sti:[email protected], it did the slalom 2 miles per hour faster and and breaking in the 60-0 was 5 ft shorter. i know these aren't that bug of differences but i'm more of a lancer fan (except those altezza! WHY the hell did they put altezzas on that car!?) the face lift on the wrx and sti is great tho. but since i don't have the money to buy either i guess it really doesn't matter. i think the scca should have a trans-am style series for just the lancer and sti so we can see which is better on a real road course instead of a rally stage. also, i'm waiting for a long term test, i might like the lancer better but considering its a mitsu, i'm sure it would have problems first.

Well i Like the Sti alot more the the Evo, Looks interior exterior... EVERYTHING. For some reason the EVO just looks cheap (ya the altezza's dont help... and its a mitsu so i was gona get a WRX but i wanted the STI couldnt wait so i picked up the MAX!!

2JZ has been known to handle 700-900hp on a stock bottom end
To all who diss the 3000GT. I know of a guy whos VR4 could own your car....dont wanna mess with 2X TD06-25Gs and Pit Road M crap...

I don't care what you guys all think, but with me, personally, I believe that someone should keep the engines and components within the manufacturer of the car that you own. An example of good being a skyline gt-r engine in a 240sx, an example of bad being putting a toyota engine in a 240sx...
I also believe that it smears the names of the beloved manufacterers to mix and interbreed their engines and bodies. I hate the ricers that put rear ends and front ends of different makers on their car (ie. prelude with skyline front end). This disheartens me to see such attrocities smearing the good Nissan name. NOT THAT I DO NOT LIKE TOYOTA, I LIKE THEM A LOT. It's just that my principles are not to mix cars with cars that arent bretheren... lol Alright, just wondering what u guys all think about that.

Well then, you are seriously clueless about your car or other cars. A turbo eclipse (FWD or AWD) would destroy my car AND your Civic Hatch in the straights. As for handling, the Eclipse is a crappy handling car. But power-wise, the Eclipse is mean..
The 3000GT has even more balls, except it comes in various models that vary DRASTICALLY. The SL is the equivelent of a V6 FWD 3g Eclipse.. its not too powerful and quite heavy. The VR4 3000GT is on the same level as TURBO Supra and 300Z, its fast. Realize.. Quote:
