Also, I goofed when I read the generation of 'Lude. I thought that was the bigger 2.0L. The one that's shared with the Integra, but that's newer Preludes, right?
no lude shared motors with a teg...

the 3gen ludes had the b20a5, (Si dohc)

4gen had h23 and h22 (93+ for h22)

5gen had h22 only...

tegs ranged from 1.6 to 1.8 liter motors depending on year...

rsx has k20 motor... not the same as anything except civic si and type r...

the car is sick in the corners...
the rear comes out first, which is really fun...

and yeah, octagon, that's the curve by you... it's hella sick of you get the right slingshot, you're at 100 by the time you get to the merge with 480, right after the curve... then it's just flat out for a couple miles...

so much fun...

I've been having problems adjusting to my new tires, the rear tire kinda feels like it floats through hard turns and doesnt like to stick one line. I guess I will just ride this one hard and go back to Bridgestones.
i've got some wicked negative camber, so the rear floats a bit if you're not getting hard into a corner...

just so you've got an idea, i'm:
-1.4 in the front
-1.8 in the back

so it's rough to ride, b/c she follows anything on the road in a straight line...

but it's sick in the corners... lotsa grip and she doesn't eat the inside of the tires like you'd think...

the car makes 130 crank hp stock.

that's about 100-110 whp.

which is what i said here, so i'll just clarify a bit more...
Quote:
the car had 130 hp stock, and i would assume that she has about 150 or so at the wheels...
130 factory crank hp.

i'm assuming 150 whp now.

that means the orig. whp was 100-110 ish.
i'm assuming 150ish now...

get it?

u may be a bit on the underrated side if u beat a larger displacement z3 . . . i will say u are closer to 170-180 whp

(unless of course it was all taller gearing at work on ur side . . . which could be the case)

i'm not sure what to tell you, and i don't know that he tried as much as i did, but it just seems like most people let off at 100 ish, so i just keep going.

i don't know that i underestimated myself, and honestly, i hope i did...
but some of us are just better drivers, and it's possible he had an auto, i don't know...

but he didn't seem as eager as i am about flooring it around a curve, or disappearing into the horizon...

but he sure was driving like he was a bad mofo until i caught him... maybe he just shyed up when someone actually showed him up...

dunno

a 1200 stall is nothing to brag about, so you may be off on that...

most converters are 2400 at least... especially in high hp rwd cars...

yeah I have no idea really, Ill have to ask em maybe it is 2000's... he works at a transmission shop so I know he has a good one.

I personally do not like driving cars with higher stall TQ, its a PITA to manuever around a parking lot or such at low speed. I know a guy with a old camaro with a 6800rpm stall TQ!!! lmfao in excess he runs 10.85 almost every run he does lol.....its one consistent car.

With a stall of a bout 2000-2600 you really wouldnt notice it down low. My friends got one in his'70 Z28 (2200stall) and it does just fine.

What year is your brothers Impala?

Yea, likewise with a 2800 even. A 3200 is perfectly driveable if you ask me. I've tried to introduce this fact to redneck before, but he insists on going with a wimpy little girly 2800 or something like that!!

it depends on how much you drive the car...
my friend's 73 nova has a 3400 stall ATI convertor in it...

he doesn't drive it hard enough to warrant it, and he's paying for it, b/c it's not getting used to it's full ability...

granted, he's got 420hp in it... but he doesn't drive it nearly hard enough in my opinion...
