In the next hundred years?
Nano technology The recreation of an active and advancing space program, including setting up of a base on the moon and a manned flight to Mars. The colapse of the American Emprire. The rise of the European Empire. The Pasification and modernisation of Islam. The collapse and loss of Christianity as a driving force behind most of our cultural values. The Bakery going two weeks with out a major break down. Mass comunication devies developed to a level that they are intergrated into your bodies, and enable us to contact anyone, anywhere at little to know expense. Imagine being able to talk to someone on the other side of the world in real time, while your driving to work and it costs no more than calling your next door neighbor. Development of another, or over whelming refinment of mass transit that will enable cheap safe and quick travel between land masses. (i.e. Scram jets cheaper than current air travel, or totaly new idea) The car as we know it will go the same way as the horse, it will be repaced by something car like, but only in the sence that its a mass transit device. The car as we know it will, be left to enthusiasts with lots of money who can only go "driving" on week ends. A totaly new form of computing being developed. Increased reliance on computers to control things. The internet as we know it would be considered primitive. Thought control of computer systems. I could keep going.......................... .....but one thing that won't change is the amount of death and suffering caused by the exploitation and unequal wealth distribution required to create and surport such a world.
