Re: F1 Owner on board

We would need to see performance graphs and some telemetry data to be able to compare the cars on paper. I think the Lambo might pull harder at the point that all turbos/superchargers are kicking in, but whether the McLaren is ahead or behind at that point, and whether it pulls away or falls behind is not something that can be predicted with the information you have given.

If you want to talk more about this awesome Lamborghini, or other Lamborghinis, there's a Lambo forum here as well.

I would have to say that I don't care if the lambo is quicker or not, it is not nearly as well made, nearly as good looking, or nearly the track car that the F1 is. There are obviously faster cars on the road now. The enzo's top speed is higher than the F1's. The veyron's will be as well. The attention to detail, and the skill in crafting the F1 is what makes it stick out against a backdrop of ferrari's and lambo's. Plus this lambo sounds much like the owner is trying to create a dyno queen. I don't want to hear any fast and furious quotes here such as "I live life a 1/4 mile at a time". Plus the lamborghini is going to be way less reliable from the sounds of it as Mr. Selldorf has not had any mechanical difficulties aside from the battery.

Re: F1 Owner on board

The enzos top speed is higher than the F1s?
217.5MPH for enzo, 231mph for F1, hmm.. Lets not say 240.1 people as that is a potential limit, standard cars are compared here, fair I say, but still beats the enzo. Veyron Puhlease, wack a v16 on a chassis that can't stay on the ground and it's a work of art like the F1? It can now at high speeds but the F1 had no such problem in development. Yes it will gain a top speed title, but hardly as unique and well constructed I say.

McLaren Mike, is that a McLaren F1 being pursued by a helicopter in your avatar? If so, could you please post the full size pic? I would love to see it.
Thanks!

he said the turbo was "to spool enough air for the superchargers"

i have yet to see it since its under the car but the 2 superchargers are definately there and there is one hell of a blow-off valve.

I made a thread in the lambo section with 3 pictures

I am trully fortunate to have been afforded the opportunity to own and drive this car. I am not worthy.

Even though there are numerous cars coming out that appear to close the gap, rest assured that a thorough comparison would only confirm the F1's place at the top. Without driving/owning a car for an extended period of time, it is impossible for anyone to understand the true magnificence of the car. I wish everyone could experience what I have for the past 3 years, so they would understand. I no longer try to explain what I mean, I just smile and let the doubters believe what they want.

As part of my responsibility as owner, I feel I need to share this wonderful car with as many people as possible. I love giving rides, rewarding those with the gumption to ask. If I can conveniently do it, I'll take anyone and everyone. It's fun watching the reaction as people climb out of the car. Noone can prepare themselves properly for a quick run in an F1. On more than one occaission I've had to stop to let people out (grown men) who couldn't handle it.

For this same reason, I am making myself available to this forum so that you can get the perspective of an experienced owner. I would love to continue to share this incredible car with those who appreciate it, like me.

If you think he isn't, prove it but I tell you, if I was an owner, I'd never shut up about it. I'm not and I still can't...

Actually, he doesn't need to prove anything to anyone, especially you.

Re: F1 Owner on board

The posts by drewwtms and fselldorff elsewhere on this board (outside of this thread) provide sufficient proof. Follow the links that are provided, do some research on news articles of the companies involved, sufficient proof exists.

So do I ... and it's coming from you

Mr. Selldorff is in the "public eye" in terms of his business and his involvement in motor racing ... anyone exposed in such a way would be extremely silly to make claims that aren't true, so I suggest that what Mr. Selldorff says here about being fortunate enough to own not one, but two F1's, is completely true.

Really ?. That'll teach me to read all through the discussion before opening my mouth

Still, what I've said is valid ... Mr. Selldorff is a "public figure", and he'd be silly to say things that aren't correct .. which is why I don't believe he has ( said anything that's not correct ).
