Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

You would have to decide if you want the world's first supercar or the world's best supercar.

The Miura is indeed stunning, but I find the answer not that challenging.

Yep, these two are cars which just can not be compared.
If money wouldn't be the problem; I would take both.
Miura cost's around 300 000-700 000€ and F1 well....maybe I would try to find road legal GTR...

New-for-me photos of Don Wallace's collection - unfortunately not recent though, taken back in 2006.

Thanks to RadAL for the tip.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

I question the legitimacy of this website, but here's a For Sale ad featuring #073 with some photos taken inside the Firehouse garage I had not yet seen:

http://refined-marques.com/mclaren-f1-gt/

I enlarged one of the pictures.

I don't buy it either. "Mclaren f1 GT"? I think not.
" converted to GT Street Legal by the manufacture"
Besides the terrible English, I doubt they would/could ever convert one to full GT spec; it would virtually be a new car.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

Most of the photos on their website appear to be pulled in from all over the 'net. Anyway - I'm not a serious buyer so I don't have to worry. Hopefully no one who is gets sucked in if they are playing for fools.

And it is mid-engined - nearly a complete custom project borrowing parts here and then from GM's Corvette as they were the ones who assisted in the build.
