Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

My other friend Greg paid a visit to McLaren San Francisco on New Year's Eve and snapped an excellent set of photos - many including #028:

Greg could be a talanted photoshooter, but not automotive for sure Exterior and interior pictures do not show significant and interesting details at all. That means the lack of technical automotive knowledge. Even static automotive pictures should move imagination.

Jay has great automotive collection. But there's no Ferrari in it. Is it anything personal in between? I haven't got the answere till now. MP4-12C is not a road McLaren (inspired by Gordon). It's very ordinary by everything.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

Based on the front plate, it looks like #067 has made its way to Scottsdale for the week of auto auctions.

Presumerably he'll drive it more often so it doesn't set itself on fire again.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

I really don't think the fire was a result of letting it sit. Given the cause was traced to a failed cataltyic_converter that overheated, I don't believe that can really be blamed on lack of use.

That said - my hope for all the cars is that they see some regular use.

Re: Recap of the North American F1 fleet

The owner of #065 and #066 was spotted at the Gooding auction this evening, so there is a small possibility it could be one of his cars instead. More likely the latter chassis number, I would assume given an obvious desire to keep the mileage low on #065.
