i think your to think you figured out something that nobody else did

a good portion of members should have their avatars working again. igor is working to get the rest of us taken care of.

for everybody:

i know everybody is throwing a fit over the new af. give igor some slack. obviously he wouldn't have done it if it wasn't to better af. i know change can be difficult when it is sprung on you unexpectedly...but change can be good. let's not be ungrateful here. igor has provided us with a pretty kick ass forum. i'm thinking instead of wasting your time raising hell for an old af that is not coming back....people should be spending the time to click sponsor's banners. wouldn't it kick ass if we were noticed for MORE click thru's than ANY OTHER FORUM WITHIN AF....rather than the biggest hissy fit over some change

BTW - tell Igor to put the reply buttons on the RHS, not the left. People read L -> R and usually the mouse rests on the RHS of the screen - it's intuitive.

Oh, and the info under the avatar is badly placed - if you write a short message then all that stuff makes your message even longer = scrolling more to get to the next message. Thats why the old layout was better.

Old style = easy access and not so fussy to use. New style = complicated, fussy with too much on it - it reminds me of Homer's first web page

My - well it would be... but we got rid of 1 and 2 cent pieces years ago

You know - I'd liketo suggest igor etc go here: http://board.performanceforums.com for an example as to how to make a page simple to use, stylish and efficient. It even allows you a choice in styles. No-where near the clientelle of AF, but it gets the job done.

Oh - and that stoopid "other topics like this"... I clicked on a link, added a post and got flamed for bringing up a topic that was years old. Stupid fucking idea that one is
