On the skirts or where the rods attach? If its on the skirts then its fine.

Its fine then, the skirts on my pistons are pretty scratched up from dragging on the cylinder walls a little

ok, crank is done, mains were fine. block isnt done yet, head isnt done yet(this guy is an asshole so i cant really rush him...=/)
Anyways, he says i need new exhaust valves and guides, can someone explain to me why i might need them? for educational purposes..

If you're timing has skipped the valves would hit the pistons and damage them then. And sometimes if hit hard enough that would move the guides. But not sure why otherwise.

Valves can just wear out over time. I dont know how many miles are on your head but its probably a good idea to replace the valve. I got a set of topline valve for 100$ shipped for all of them. The valves move up and down in the guides so eventually they will wear out and need to be replaced. I didn't replace the ones in my head but I probably should have.

Topline is a company that makes stock replacement valve. It was 100 for all of them.

The shop guy ordered them for me. I'm growing impatient waiting on the work to be done. I wanna drive my car!! Not to mention my other cars enginge began knocking so hard today that the car wont start anymore. If I dont have one car breaking down its another.
