Re: 1/12 Datsun 240ZG
Wow! I love just how much detail you've put into this. Seeing those carb linkage pictures I can imagine hearing it revving already!

Re: 1/12 Datsun 240ZG
The wait was worth it I think. I almost have to laugh when I see this wip I enjoy it so much. The throttle linkage is amazing but really all your work is. This will be an incredible model, if you can even call it that now when it's finished.

Re: 1/12 Datsun 240ZG
Stump, your work is exquisite. When this little beauty and the 'stock' one (haha stock, yeah right) are finished, you will have to tell us where they are to be presented to the modelling judges. Must see this in the flesh.

Re: 1/12 Datsun 240ZG
NICE! I can't believe how much detail you're adding. The tiny jamb nuts on the throttle ball links blow me away. I've never owned a real Z but after reading this thread I'm pretty certain I could work on it without the manual.

Truly fantastic work Stump. Those carb linkages are outrageously good and I'm loving this build!

Re: 1/12 Datsun 240ZG
Wow, incredible build! I love how all the details are coming together. I especially like the OS on the valve cover. The linkage for the throttle body is just gorgeous! I am sure it would fool people!

Re: 1/12 Datsun 240ZG
Thank you ALL so very very much guys..I'm pleased you haven't lost faith and interest...
![]() Believe it or not......I HAVE been doing a bit on it this last couple of weeks..... ![]() Not so much that it has garnered a photo shoot, but little bits none the less..... The driver/race seat has started to get modified. (Porsche 934 spare) I shortened the back and bolstered the top corners. Plus I made a "sliding" rail assembly....not very to "scale", but it WILL slide.... ![]() And made some adjustments to the cage...a couple of the bars were not lined up correctly, they are now. ![]() Hope to have something worth getting pix of soon.... cheers Greg ![]()

Re: 1/12 Datsun 240ZG
I haven't checked the forums much lately.. and am kinda glad I haven't missed anything! Hah.. I'll probably be using your thread as reference when I get back to mine, which hopefully will be sometime this year.

Aye, things have slowed to a crawl....was starting to experience "Datsun burnout".... ![]() It surely isn't forgotten though, and hope to get back to it soon enough. Working on a couple of drag cars to break the boredom.
