I suspect that if you count all the digits of the VIN in that photo you might find it has 15 instead of 17. The 12C Production Prototype I saw was like that, but actually ended in PP##.

Interesting then - that is a full VIN. We will have to compare that to an actual production car when one comes along.

This was the VIN plate on the 12C Production Prototype I was referring to:



M11BAAXAW99PP14 was only 15 digits.

Yes, the framing with my ugly mug was intentional.

I think the correct VIN of this car is SBM11BAAXAW99PP14 (17 digits).

McLaren manufacturer identifier (WMI code) is SBM.
