Re: 1/12 Ferrari 312 T
Good grief, look at this.
![]() How can this possibly be a model? Talk about beautiful building techniques and patience. Talk about attention to detail and love of your hobby. This is simply mindboggling and beautiful. Is it just me or do you actually have dimples where the rivets are? Either way, completely realistic. I really think Klutz's warning sign should be at the start of this thread actually. It's too late for me now, all my confindence just wilted. What an amazing model and thread.

Just a request for mods: stick this one, JayKay, and Thesaint build as F1 modelling encyclopedia, we'll have refs and motivations to do a bit better forever.

Re: 1/12 Ferrari 312 T
Easy ... nobody discovered this until now, but I'll tell you the secret behind this build.
Rob just bought a 12/1th scale cutting mat and has put it under the real car. Did nobody see that? Hey Rob, great built. Are the seatbelts made with the material I've sent you? |

For this kit I used lead sheet and rubbed metal mesh onto the surface to get the correct texture. I'll take a close up shot ASAP. Thanks for all the encouraging words

Re: 1/12 Ferrari 312 T
I only can agree with everything that has been said above. Enormous modeling... What else is there to say... I want to learn, but the steps you´re taking are too fast and high for me

Re: 1/12 Ferrari 312 T
here's another really quick update.
I made the oil overflow pipe by selecting a suitable sized clear tube then wrapped it with 0.4mm masking tape. I then sprayed it with green polycarbonate paint (to allow it to flex and not crack). I'm very happy with the result! ![]() ![]() Thanks again

Re: 1/12 Ferrari 312 T
well that's a nice build Rob
I love the kinda "used" look you always achieve, that's really sensational. It looks so real! |

Re: 1/12 Ferrari 312 T
Just discovered this.... Amazing. I'll give up building as from now.
The FPV avatar and reference to Spotlight, you wouldn't happen to be Aussie too would you? |

Re: 1/12 Ferrari 312 T
Holy Cow.... how do you comment on a build this great?
All I know is, on the one hand, I can't wait to get my 312T, and on the other hand - I think why bother!!... LOL Fantastic work Rob!
