I wouldn't strip the dudes motor off the base. He'd probably get quite angry and take my models apart.

Funny thing is, he'd probably come over here with his scale nascar engine shop, prop the hood on my (crappily built, but nice engine) funny car (no graphix), hook the engine lift onto the motor, carefully cut the engine glue points, and lift it from the chassis and onto a scale engine holder, wheel it into his scale box trailer, and go home with it!

OMG, that would be hilarious! I would love to see that. In fact it inspires me to make a scale "Smokey and The bandit", "Dukes of Hazard", or "Rice and the Ridiculous".

Whats new?

I finally got that stupid C-Channel cleaned. It actually wasnt that bad, and not even as bad as it looked. Using the Dremel and a cuttin' wheel I was well on my way. You have to hold it just right, if you dont have the cuttin' wheel at the proper angle to the aluminum it bounces all over the frickin' place.

So, its cleaned, two hours later, and two cuttin' wheels later.

Pictures tommorrow!

UPDATES:

Here are the picture I told you I would have. Tonight Im going to redesign the chassis to fit the the 426.

Still in the jig.

One of the cutting wheels I used, as you can see its destroyed. Its a little smaller than a dime, theres a permanent marker at the bottom right for just an idea of the size.

And a fairly normal cutting wheel, 1" diameter.

I dont know why exactly I posted pics of cutting wheels but I guess it shows how bad they are butchered when used to grind instead of cut.

And lastly a picture of the before and after, I bet you can guess which is the moddified.

Enjoy!
