I've been doing it for years, and I've never had a can explode, but only leave it in the hot water for 5 mins, much longer then it will explode. It really allows the paint to stick to body or primer better, I also heat the body a little with a blow dryer set on low, once again, to get the paint tp stick better

-=IT'S DONE=- After 6 hours straight of working on the model, I finally finished it. The result is better that I expected in most areas, worse in others. I've ran into so many prolems today...unbelievable. The hardest part was the decals - they were so thin and fragile that I had to cut the graphics up into multiple pieces to make it work. The dragon on the roof, for example, I had to cut into 6 pieces and then apply them one at a time; for the side flames - 6-8 pieces. Another hard part was painting the edges of the body around the winshields and side windows - I had no body paint to fix a mistake if I made one...turned out ok. Other than that, it just took time...I haven't left my room from 11Am to 5 pm. It's dark right now, so I can't take good pics outside, you'll have to wait till tomorrow. I will make a 'finished' thread tomorrow around 12pm with lots of pics. For now, here's a peak: ![]() This is my last post in this thread - thanks to everyone for all the advice, comments, and lectures about my ego. Looking forward to your reactions to the final thing. I will post a link here to the 'finished' thread tomorrow. Last edited by Artem1985il; 12-12-2003 at 09:19 PM. |

The blur really ads to the look of the car actually.
