Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread
Yes i was raking leaves.... Unfortunetly thanks to Global Warming, the leaves didn't start to fall until like 3 days ago... and when they fell it was like it snowed outside! A Thick Slippery mess everywhere. Normally they are all down by now but hey such is the climate.
From what i understand the 6 disc has the most problems out of the different radios that the G6 has. Oh well. The Radio can wait though. I think Oil change, tires and wiper blades if i can find them are more important right now. Oh well back to "work"

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread
i need wiper blades as well... hmmmm my are all dried and hardly move anything lol
I think my tires are 'ok' for this winter.. I just need to check and do all of the pressure.. still lots of tread from when I bought them... Did my oil a while ago before it got cold, think tho its a little thin as I hear every tap noise on cold start lol... I still have that one problem XI, the sticky carbon on the valve or w/e sticking lol... here when I can, Im going to clean my injectors (from this summer's mishapp) and prob change my fuel filter.. ALSO I need to buy a hose for my TB coolant by-pass... cause I smell coolant now... leaks only slightly but ill run out eventually haha nifty idea... think if I got thick enough clear tubing from home depot I could run that with it clamped down? the temp is only what.. 180-230F average in that range? I'd only want to see the coolant inside to see if any debre floats thru or something like that.... A better idea would to see it as a test line or something

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread
Yeah Gir I wouldnt use any clear tubing.
It cant handle the heat and pressure. The coolant may only be 200 deg, but the heat coming of the exhaust crossover is much hot then that, it would probly melt and burst. The black hose at the zone is super cheap, you only need a foot at the most.

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread
even if I route it up and away from the heatshield?... What about the clear threaded hose that you can find? :o
I just think it'd be a nifty idea lol

I think the pressure that a car puts out maybe to great for it though and the hoses are probably to small. I dunno though

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread
yea the idea came from something like this... since im such a nerd lol
![]() Just think of that in orange possibly but inside your engine bay, a whole re-work kit would be awesome but It sure would take some strong a$$ hoses to hold the PSI, compaired to such as a small pump inside a computer that motorcycle hose says it can only go up to 60degrees C I think it said lol... I think it'd melt

![]() Plus as grfnkl said the pressure alone would probley bust them, and as soon as they get hott they'd make a nice mess! Its just a pita to get that hose on, you practicly hav to remove the TB and the reciculator tube. But dont let me discourage you, give it a shot, just make sure you have extra coolant around. and take some pics or video if it catches fire !! opcorn:I looked at that site with the hoses. Some readings are in fahrenheit, and some in celsius.

I know how you feel Xi... I don't have 500 channels... more like 70 but still nothing on them either. After a brief moment of laying down feeling like sleeping... I finally got myself motivated and moving around... to end up cleaning my room... It needed it though I had to get all my "forsale" items out of the way for my Christmas tree! Gah it's 11 already... I think i gonna go crash...
