WHOE. not trying to be mean at all.....but imo hes gonna need more motor than an lsvt can provide to get 7s or 8's. alot of shops brag about bringing out single digit second cars and it rarely ever happens.

yea its hard to believe but an ls vtec is amazingly powerful if built right...
by the way he ran 9.65 @ 142 with a turbo b16 and his built b16 head makes 189.6 hp on a stock b16 bottom end

12.6 in the 1/4
low 7's in the 1/8

It's not a honda, it's a 73 GMC pickup with a 383 stroker. 4.10 gears, killer off the line but lacks a little on the top end - hence the good 1/8 times and not as good 1/4. This is with slicks, I can't get traction with street tires. My best is like mid 13's with street tires, cuz I have to be so soft off the line.

Sorry if I sounded like an ass but I was kinda in a pissy mood at the time.

Well, if I unbolted the exhaust (currently dual 2.25" w/mufflers-small for a V8) and ran open headers it would give me atleast another tenth, probably 2 tenths off my time.

i have an lsvt putting down close to 430 whp@ a little under 21 psi and im predicting mid 10's when its finished getting tuned (2 bar) and prepped for the track so i know that an lsvtec can produce power... but the fact of the matter is that getting 7's out of a fwd car takes a shit load of power. stephen padapakis (sp) is running 7's with a rwd turbo nsx motor in a carbon fiber pro-chassis. so your honestly telling me that someone can build a fwd lsvtec to run with that^

at the track on wednesday there was this tiny kid driving a 5th gen hatch on slicks, it was a full car, tho, nothing was gutted, but he was dippin into the 11's and ran mostly low 12's. I know he hasnt gotten good at driving it yet though becaus the times were very inconsistant. hje ran a 12.7, a 12.2 andsomeone told me he hit 11.9 once but i didnt see that one. but he was running a turbo LSVTEC, I dont know what all was done to it or how much boost he was running, but I know it couldnt of been a full drag built motor cuz it loked liek his daily car if it didnt have the slicks. but 11.9 is still im[pressivew
