Exclamation head swap or full engine

i've been hearing about the CR/VTec combo's. would it be better to do that or just buy a Type R or are both bad idea's. any info would be great

by type r do you mean the engine, b18c5?

i'd do a GS-R engine, b18c1 the build it a little, be a lot cheaper than a b18c5...

a frankenstein motor is to be done by someone that knows their shit. if you want to just swap the motor and never touch it again, get the type R motor. if you want to swap it in and do work to it, get the gsr motor since most of the parts will be switched out anyways. plus, you leave yourself open to going f/i later on if you choose.
