2017 grand caravan p0300

2017 grand caravan shudders dropped off at dealer for 99.00 diagnostic thinking it was torque convertor. They called saying it's not Transmission related and it's now throwing a code p0300 and they want 569.00 to remove intake and go further. That's not in budget. Any ideas are appreciated!! Thanks

That code refers to a random misfire, what are they looking for inside the engine. How many miles, any engine noise?

OK I just left dealer. Got the paperwork it says codes retrieved were p0300 and p0303. No engine nosies only ran synthetic always changed oil every 4500 miles. I'm thinking throw plugs and coils at it I did have plugs changed at 120k then at 125k 1 plug went bad and at 128k a coil went bad. Van currently has 142k on it.

When dlr called me yesterday they said it was only showing p0300 no specific cyl. Then today the paperwork said cyl 3 kind of upset they were being dishonest

Pull #3 plug, see what it looks like , most likely a coil.

You were correct it was the coil . I changed out coils and plugs.
