2014 Santa Fe rear hatch solution
Just wanted to leave a note regarding issues with the 2014 Santa Fe rear hatch not opening or intermittent problems.
We suffered this two years ago and finally got our Mechanic to follow up as it had been diagnosed as a Smart Box issue by Hyundai and by this same mechanic. In Canada here that is $1000 fix. He finally followed it up to a broken wire in the rear lock mechanism. About $250 when done! Apparently this is common but so is the false diagnosis!
