Hey guys, I have a 1973 oldsmobile 98, I have the type O rear axle and was wanting to swap in a ford 9” for ease of parts and gear changes. I have done research and nobody makes a bolt in 9” housing for the c body cars of these years but there is a company that makes one for the 71-76 b body cars. I was wondering if anybody knew if the arms and shocks and springs were all located in the correct position for my c body car, the axle is available in any width I want so that is not an issue. I just have no b body vehicle or to take measurements off of to see if it would fit and there’s not much information that I’ve found from online searching, thanks in advance.
