Honda Civic question

Good evening,

I hope it is ok to post this question here. Please advice me of where to correctly post this if this is not the right place on the forum.

I have a 2002 Honda Civic which is leased. The lease is up next May. I just found out there was a known issue with the suspension but I am 5 months past the warranty time to get it fixed. My mechanic will fix it but not with a Honda part. He says he will use a better part. My question is if I decide to give the car back when the lease is up will they refuse to take it back if a Honda part was not used?

If I decided to get another Honda do you know if giving the leased one up counts towards getting a new one? Will I get a break on a new Honda from the same dealership? I really like my Honda and would like to get another one. I am way under on the km's and the car is in good condition. I would probably buy next time and not lease.

Any help with these questions would really be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Honda Civic question

Edit: How do you lease a 16 year old car?
Why not ask them what it would take to buy that one?
