Crankshaft oil seal replacement ?
My van has the original front (right side) crankshaft oil seal that is weeping so I am planning to replace it in a month or so after it warms up. I have replaced seals on other engines before so I know most of the details, but I may have hit a roadblock before even starting this job.
I have reviewed an on-line repair guide at my library that says that one will have to remove the two right side sub-frame bolts to lower the sub-frame in order to be able to get clearance to install the crank harmonic puller. ![]() I think that is getting beyond what I want to deal with. Can anyone shed more light on if you think, or know if one can get the harmonic puller into position to pull that crank pulley without having to drop down the sub-frame? Otherwise I may have to ignore this oil leak.

Re: Crankshaft oil seal replacement ?
I'll answer my own questions again.
One does not have to touch any side sub-frame bolts or lower the sub-frame to remove the pulley or crank oil seal.
