Is this likely to be a faulty VTS (Variable Timing Solenoid)
2008 Sonata 2.4 litre engine
Oil is synthetic blend
2000 miles on oil change
Checked for adequate oil level
Have not been able to remove part to inspect for possible clogged screen .. to hard to access on this car.
I thought I would try this forum before it goes to a mechanic. My mechanic told this is too often the vehicle jumping timing due to a worn timing chain. I am leery of him saying that. It has been well maintained with oil changes and only has 130K on it.
