Check engine light on along with brake light and battery light
When turning into my neighborhood it felt like the power steering went out. I checked the power steering fluid and the brake fluid and all seem normal. I just can't turn the steering wheel. The car starts fine.
In a 2006 kia spectra.

It could be a plugged screen located in return line at the power steering pump.
