Starts then immediately shuts off
My brother has a 2000 Bonneville, it'll turn over and start for a second or two then just shuts off. Any thoughts/ideas? No issues with the security light staying on.

Phaelax,
I had the exact same problem on my 1996 Bonnie. Verified it was not the theft deterrent circuit causing the problem. Then checked using a scantool in live datastream mode while cranking and found there was no signal from the MAF (mass airflow) sensor. Replaced it and that took care of it. I'm not sure if that's your issue but it's something to consider.
