Problems with my Cavalier

Hello, I'm new here—and semi new when it comes to this stuff in general—so bear with me.

I have a 2000 Chevy Cavalier and a 2002 Cavalier. Long story short: The '02 had a rusted frame and it eventually broke to the point of no repair, so I bought a '00 Cavalier with no engine. I swapped the engines, everything went back in just fine, but the car won't start. I turn the key over and nothing happens, then I check the plugs and it turns out the cylinders are being flooded with gas every time I attempt to start it. Any idea why?

Re: Problems with my Cavalier

What does nothing happens mean?, no starter engagement? Also could be the security system is not compatible between the the 2 cars, or the pcm, very tough to diagnose from here.

Re: Problems with my Cavalier

Adding on to the post above, did you just change the engine, or did you also change out the engine management computer? Have you checked for any diagnostic codes and are there any lights on the dash that might suggest the car knows it has an issue?
