Post Is my upstream O2 sensor failing?

Hello everyone. I believe my O2 sensor is bad ( '02 2.5L automatic). This morning it was 28º out n i swear i could just watch the gas miles drop on my cluster. Ive been having problems with acceleration for the longest time. I didnt hook a computer to it to see what it would read. Does this sound like a faulty O2 sensor?
