Hello,
The passenger side front seatbelt buckle on our 2001 Cadillac SLS quit locking. To replace, can I get to it out without removing the seat? Can I safely unplug the connector under the seat without causing a problem? Thanks ellis479 |

Re: 2001 SLS Seat belt won't buckle
The buckle bolts to the seat frame, the seat will need to be at least unbolted and moved around so you can access the buckle. There shouldn't be any issues with unplugging the seat.

Re: 2001 SLS Seat belt won't buckle
I was thinking it might deploy the air bags, just being cautious. I understand the seat will have to be unbolted to remove the seat belt buckle. I really appreciate your help! Thanks ellis479

I you have any concerns, simply disconnect the neg battery cable and wait 10 min before disconnecting the seat.
