First transmission flush at 100k miles?
Hi, I have a 2007 Milan with 100,000 miles that has never had the tranny flushed. The mechanic says it will ruin the transmission if we flush it now. Is that correct? He says it will stir up all the metal particles that have accumulated all this time and clog ports, etc.
Thanks |

yes, it can break loose some debris in the tranny with fresh fluid and the fresh cleaners in it, you can loosen the risk by changing the filter before the flush and cleaning the pan but its still a possibility you can plug something

Thanks for the info. If it was your car would you just keep driving it without doing anything and hope for the best, or take the chance and change the fluid and filter?

If its acting up you have nothing to lose by changing it. If not I would leave it alone
