swap a engine 2012 ENCLAVE 07 ACADIA VIN 7 8th DIGT

Can I swap a engine from a 2012 ENCLAVE with VIN D 8TH DIGIT put in to my 07 ACADIA VIN 7 8th DIGT what can be dun? what's the difference can this be dun and if so what? please help. Thanks

That is a direct injected engine and yours wouldn't be. I would think there would be ECM, BCM, TCM etc problems unless you put your engines top end on it. Meaning heads and up. In short it wouldn't be worth the trouble IMO. What's wrong with it? Is fixing it out of the question? 13 hp and 19 ft-lbs aren't worth the trouble if you ask me. The 2009 got the DI, anything newer would have the same problem.
