Secondary Air Injection
Hey guys.
My friend has a 2001 Beetle, not sure what size engine, that has set a P0411. Incorrect flow. I have a Montana with a P0410 code. Question: What is SAI, is it necessary, and how do we troubleshoot this system? Also, I recorded some data, on an MD9001 (Matco) scantool, while at idle and up to 3G RPM. Is there any info that could be useful? Mike |

This New Beetle model years ranging from 1999 to 2002 knows many electronic problems and injection. I owned a similar model that made me spend a fortune to set well the injection!!!

Re: Secondary Air Injection
The air pumps are notorious for having cracked and failed gaskets. I suggest asking on a VW forum on exactly the best way to check. On mine I could feel the leak, but yours might be just at the beginning and is just tripping the sensor. Ask in the VW vortex
