Looking good. If you are adding such detail to the battery, I would suggest replacing the turbos. That part looks like a curled tube

You got that right, tamiya didn't do justice to the RB26DE"Twin Turbo" probably because they are located in such a place that the turbos can't be seen properly when all the parts are placed in the engine bay. I might swap the "curled tubes" with some good looking ones if I get time

Thanks

Thanks bro.. the kit is not bad, the only drawbacks are the ride height is way to high, therefore have to figure out a way to lower it, the transparent hood doesn't fit properly so that needs sanding and the usual mold lines.

Btw, your GTRs look amazing.

it's been set a side for a bit, had to prioritize a rebuild of a friend's 1/12 F40 (which he gave to me 8 years ago, lol). might resume on it though as it was on a local show's feature on people who do car scale models (and those who do miniature versions of their real rides). it'll be shown on sunday morning though, the shot was last monday morning. heheh.

+1 on the turbo comment. tamiya sure made piddly turbos on this kit.

Thanks, I try my best to make the engine bay look like the real thing as much as possible. As for the ride height all the stock R32 GTRs I've seen so far have a pretty good ground clearance like most family sedans. But on a 1/24 scale that much ride height look a bit toyish to me you know what Im saying. So did a bit of sanding to some of the suspension parts to make it slightly lower than the original tamiya specs.

Looking forward to your version of the GTR S-Tune. pm me when you start the wip thread. cheers

Sounds interesting. Need to get my hands on a 1/12 kit soon, maybe a RX-7 Efini . Post some pics of the 1/12 F40 asap man.

And yeah, the puny turbos in this kit sucks big time . They are hidden away down below the stock air intake box and can't be seen with the hood open so its all good i guess lol. Anyway, post some F40 pics bro.
