Trans question 2000 Mystique
2000 Merc Mystique with 2.5L V6 and 4 speed auto trans. Recently, the trans would drop out of gear into neutral then pop back into gear at highway speeds. Took it to a local shop to have the trans serviced. They changed the fluid - cannot get to the filter - it runs better but still drops out of gear from time to time. What causes this? Is it fixable? Thanks!
