Toyota Yaris Mystery Cable

Hi

Can anyone tell me what the cable in the picture is for?

It's in my 2002 Toyota Yaris SR which I've only had a few months and it's my first car.

It comes out of a hole in the dash behind the CD player and I have never seen a cable attachment like it before.
