2002 Spyder 2.4 Eclipse Will not idle and dies

Car will start fine and as long as I hold down the gas it will run fine. As soon as i let off the gas car dies immediately.

Codes from O'Reilly's read as Mass Air Flow. I've replaced that and car still dies when all connected but no longer throws any codes. I've ordered IAC waiting on it to arrive.

Here's the deal though. If I leave the duct work from MAF up to engine off car will idle and run after I start it. As soon as I put the duct work back on to include the MAF i get the will not idle and dies.

I've checked the filter (ran without filter in and all connected and no difference).

Does not appear to be gas related at all. Any suggestions or additional tips to try?

Thanks as always as this is my go to place for all things automotive. Great people here and hoping once again I'll get positive results and get me back up running.

Issue here ended up being the need for both the MAF Sensor and the IAC valve. Both went bad as once i put in the new IAC it worked like a champ.
