engine swap from a 95 to a 98

my cousin has a 98 gallant with the 2.4 engine. she is having some major problems. my uncle has found a 95 gallant with a 2.4 but it has a manual trans and her car has an automatic.
here is my question, can the engine from the 95 work in the 98?
also are there any other parts from the 95 that can work in the 98.
the 95 has no title, but the owner states it does run.
any info would help.

according to the interchange the block is different, the head will fit but something is different on the block, says 98 only on it
