76 eldorado - Alignment issues

Hey guys, I'm having some issues with my 76 Eldorado. It has an almost brand new front suspesion and I want to get some more advice than I've been getting.

The tires do not wobble up and down when lifted, so the wheel bearings are fine. They are also brand new. Side to side, however, it still has a ton of play in it. When driving it doesn't go straight and I have to keep the steering wheel slightly turned right to stay in the same lane.

So far, I have replaced: upper and lower ball joints, wheel bearings, inner and outer tie rod ends, center link, pitman arm, shocks, and idler arm. I'm running out of ideas on what the cause is now...

I've had it aligned so it could get around, but now I want that side to side motion to stop for good. I bought a new steering box and rag joint which will be installed soon, but is there anything else you guys can think of?

Re: 76 eldorado - Alignment issues

Check for looseness in the gear box, turn the wheel lt to rt from tbe center point, see if the pitman arm directly follows this movement. Post back. You need an alignment, but play in the steering is another issue.
