ECT Cable for 2004 GTP

On my 2004 GTP, I recently noticed that the cable connecting to the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor is in poor shape. The protective hard plastic cover has disintegrated and the wire was touching the exhaust. I can't seem to find any part numbers for just this wire, all I can find is for the sensor, or sensor and wire. I'd rather not replace the sensor, if necessary. Does anyone know if there is a part number for the cable itself, or a generic connector that will fit the ECT?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Just cut out bad Wire and replace it with the same gauge wire. Use heat shrink wire connectors, then you can buy some protective plastic wire loom to cover.

I may end up doing that, the only trouble is, the wire is bad shape very close to the connector.

Just go to RockAuto.com and search for your vehicle. There is a section of parts labeled "Electrical-Connector". In this section, there is "Coolant Temperature Sender Switch Connector".
