#05R, #06R & #24R announced at BPR Revival !

Great but not expected cars.

I can say today #05R owner told me one month ago he could not be there but not opposed to loan his car and he makes it !

http://www.dixmilletours.com/images/...PR_REVIVAL.pdf

I expect other GTR but nobody seems to know more about F1 presence.

Re: #05R & #06R announced at BPR Revival !

Untill there's no more than one F1 announced, a 1200km trip is a bit too long.
When more on the list, and announced, there will be a change I'll be there.

PS
I've never been at Le Castellet, is it necessary to have a press accredition to make nice shots? or are there many possibilities to take nice shots without fences, and close to the track?

update:
the Harrods is announced also

Re: #05R & #06R announced at BPR Revival !

Please read the title Arjan, I announced both.

I notice Roald Goethe and Clive joy will be there with other cars.
Maybe someone can convince M. Goethe to come with #15R...

You can access without accreditation, the price is 25€.
No clue if you can well see the track except panoramic terrasse above the Mistral.

Re: #05R & #06R announced at BPR Revival !

#03R wasn't in a ready state last time I was aware. I'd be surprised [but delighted! ] if it were #04R

My guess would be more than likely #12R or another GTR we see more often

I was hoping for more F1's than just two.
Entrancefee was clear at the beginning, but the question is how the track is for amateur photographers, can you get close to track in some spots without any fence in front of you? Because it's a Bernie Ecclestone owned track, I don't think so
Most tracks were ruined the last years to place so many fences, you need to have official photographer accreditation.

PS
#15R and #22R will not be there.

Re: #05R & #06R announced at BPR Revival !

A third GTR has been announced as a planned attendee.

Interestingly though, the entry list refers to it as a '1996 McLaren F1 GTR' owned by Paul Knapfield. He is of course known to own GTR 24R, which is one of the 1997 Longtails and I am not certain it would qualify for any BPR Revival as the series had switched to FIA governance in 1997. Does anyone know if Paul has acquired another GTR, and if so then which one might that be?

EDIT: Just checked the list once more and there is a '1997 Porsche 911 GT1' listed so perhaps there is just an error in the year for Paul's entry and it will be 24R?

I'd say its a typo - I haven't heard anything about a GTR changing hands for a while

Re: #05R & #06R announced at BPR Revival !

I checked the list twice yesterday.

"Erik is faster than you, do you understand ?" ^^

My source was right.

For 1996, I think it's a trick, the car is not elligible and they have to write "1996".

Only a few people will see the mistake.

Phil

My new friend from France will be attending - she is very excited already and she only knew about two of them!
