2000 no blower or 4 wheel drive...connected?

2000 escalade: blower seldom works, and when it won't work, neither will the 4 wheel drive! Are they connected somehow? Also, big red wire behind glove box real hot!

Re: 2000 no blower or 4 wheel drive...connected?

The power for both of them comes from the same ckt in the ignition switch, as does the cruise control. Does the cruise work when the others dont? If they all dont work the ignition switch or a connection problem at the switch would be a likley culprit.
