Chevy Spectrum?
Hey, does anybody know what a Chevrolet Spectrum is? I hope it's not anything like the Spark. No offense to the one's who like it, Its just a car small enough to fit in my broom closet isn't really my taste.

Re: Chevy Spectrum?
The Spectrum was the product of a joint venture between Chevrolet and Toyota in the 80s. The car was based on the Corolla and was brought out in 1985 as a rebadged Nova, which was later renamed Spectrum.

Re: Chevy Spectrum?
The Spectrum was a joint venture with Isuzu. It came in a 2 door hatch or 4 door notch back sedan. All Spectrums had a 1.5 I4 motor stick or auto avail.
The Isuzu version was called the I-Mark. Spectrums came out in 1985 and run until about 1990. At some point it was know as a Geo Spectrum, but it was the same car as the Isuzu I-Mark not the Toyota Corolla. The Nova was was the Toyota joint venture with Chevy. The Nova was a rebadged Corolla. The Chevy Sprint was a re-badged Suzuki. The Tracker was a re-badged Suzuki also. |

Re: Chevy Spectrum?
I drove an 84 Spectrum for many years beginning in 1990. This was made by Isuzu and was a wonderful vehicle that performed especially well in the snow in Pittsburgh... It was a bad year here :/
