2001 S type owner needs advice
I have a 2001 S-Type that has been diagnosed with a timing problem from the dealer. They wanted $5k to repair. A local shop that had worked on it before said they would take a look and thought it might just need "cleaning out". It had sat for a while without running. They keep putting me off now and I need to do something with this car.
Body is in excellent condition, interior is good, 123k miles. Really appreciate some direction to get this handled. I don't need the car now but I don't want to give it away either.

1) Is there a Check Engine light on?
